Development Work 3

I am now in the process of doing various photo-shoots with my models. I gathered a lot of people to be my models as I needed them to look as if they are migrating from the city to the woods, in an enormous group. I will also do some party scenes where you will see them all being happy and celebrating the fact that they have got away from all the technology and have finally looked around them, taking into consideration all the beautiful nature and people around them.

On all the shoots I found the lighting to be the most difficult to set up. I found that the pictures at the start of every shoot were over-exposed and washed some of the modles faces out. But once I sorted out the lighting, aperture and ISO out, everything went smoothly. The lighting, brigtness and exposure of the photographs were perfect by the end of each shoot.

The next seven models were all shot at the same time, as I got them to firstly pose in their modern urban clothes, then told them to change as I took photographs of the another model. I did this until I got back to my first model as they were now changed into their formal clothes; I then took photographs of all my models in those newly changed clothes.

When it came to Dieter and Jessica's photo-shoot, the lighting went very weird. As you can see in some of the photographs, the lighting went to more a yellow tone rather than the clear bright ones we did earlier. I tried very hard to get the lighting back to the way it was but was unsuccessful. As I was doing this photo shoot with loads of people at once, the lighting was that same yellow tone for the rest of the shoot with all the other models I had to Photograph. Fortunately, I only had Lechelle to photograph left to so there weren't many photographs with the dark yellow tone.

The next three models were all posing for me at the same time. Again I did the same this I did at the last shoot. I shot them in their urban clothes first, then formal. The lighting wasn't that difficult to set up this time and we got the shoot over and done with pretty quickly.

Humaira's Shoot

Laiba's Shoot

My next two models were students in the school, so I had to do their shoot at lunch times. This took up two of their lunches as they posed for my. Again I got them in their urban clothes first and then their formal. The lighting was also not that hard to set up and I got more experience with it as, I did more and more shoots.

After taking all these photographs, I had to sort through them all and get the best photographs of each of my models. These photographs should capture the model’s expressions, showing the theme of the scene and what is happening. Capturing each person's personality in the photographs as well as keeping to the theme, buy using what they wear.

With each model, I had to decide what they should wear. I asked them all to bring in some of their clothes describing to them beforehand what they should bring in and what I am looking for. When they brought in their clothing, I decided what they should wear, giving them some accessories and styling them within each shoot. I also brought in my dresses, jewellery and technology for some of my models.

After choosing the photographs I wanted to use, I started editing them. I did this by cutting each of them out, taking the background out so it just leaves the model and no one or anything in the photograph.
